Unlocking value in undercapitalized middle market enterprises
Haven Point Capital invests in overlooked healthcare enterprises in undercapitalized markets, generating strong returns for investors and fueling growth in underinvested communities.
Five Mile Point
For more than 175 years, the Five Mile Point Light in New Haven has endured, first as a private venture, and now as a public landmark. It represents resilience, adaptability, and community purpose. At Haven Point Capital, we seek out businesses with the same resilience: enterprises rooted in their communities, built on strong foundations, and ready to adapt for scale. By providing disciplined capital and active partnership, we help these companies preserve their core strengths, unlock new growth, and deliver lasting value in a changing market.
Our Team
Both graduates of Yale School of Management and alumni of Yale’s Black Business Alliance, Anna and Yaw connected over a shared mission to impact business and society.
With over 20 years of combined experience investing in and supporting overlooked entrepreneurs, our team brings a disciplined approach to identifying and revitalizing “hidden gem” middle market enterprises.
During their time at Yale, Anna and Yaw recognized the untapped potential for impact and business growth in underinvested communities like New Haven. After graduating, Anna held investment roles at the Annie E. Casey Foundation and Choate Rosemary Hall before returning to New Haven as Chief Investment Officer at ConnCORP. There, she led fundraising for First Haven, a $200 million mixed-use development in the Dixwell neighborhood, and deployed over $1 million in capital and support to overlooked entrepreneurs.
Yaw, after earning his MBA at Yale School of Management, joined Connecticut’s Black Business Alliance, where he directed $300,000 in equity-free grants to underrepresented founders. He later joined Anna at ConnCORP as Vice President of Impact Investing.
Together, Anna and Yaw co-founded Haven Point Capital. Their work with overlooked entrepreneurs revealed the strength of “Hidden Gem” enterprises - structurally sound businesses constrained by systemic barriers to growth. By scaling these enterprises nationwide, Haven Point seeks to deliver compelling returns for owners and investors, while strengthening communities.
